Nice sand beach, but spied a lot of bottle tops...worried about broken bottles. But was nice.
Oh boy, beautiful place...but don't EVEN think about going in with a 32 foot motorhome with a car hooked for towing to the back! There was a chain attached to the property and we had to unhook the Jeep Twice!!!! Plus with the busy HWY it was hard to get back on. I know, "my bad"...but oops what a fiasco!!!!
We drove through this lovely lake Michigan park. It's a beautiful rustic park, right on the lake. We did not stop long, because it was raining.
Rustic park along the shores of Lake Michigan reminded me of places I frequented as a kid. This place has a nice sandy beach, picnic tables, play set for the kiddos, and overnight camping available. The park also had port a potties (which were clean inside) and a large dumpster for your trash. Place is pet friendly as long as you keep Fido on a leash and pick up afterwards. A great place for a picnic and exploring along the beach.
Nice area. Could use some clean up. There was what looked like a tree buried at the shore line with the remnants of branches sticking out of the sand. Tripped over them a couple times. Another person cut his foot on one.
